| Q |
What
is Beta-1, 3-D-glucan? |
| A |
Beta-1,
3-D-glucan is the active ingredient in BetaGold tm. It is derived
from the cell wall of
Saccharomyces ceravisiae (bakers yeast), making it the best
plant-derived Beta-1, 3-D-glucan on the market. |
|
|
|
| Q |
Is
Beta-1, 3-D-glucan safe? |
| A |
Beta-1,
3-D-glucan is completely safe, non-toxic, and has no side affects. |
|
|
|
| Q |
I
am allergic to yeast; will this cause a problem? |
| A |
Although
Beta-1, 3-D-glucan is derived from baker's yeast, it is a pure
isolate and does not contain any yeast proteins which cause
allergic reactions. |
|
|
|
| Q |
Could
Beta-1, 3-D-glucan cause "over-stimulation" of my
immune system or auto-immunity? |
| A |
First,
we don't say that beta 1,3-D glucan stimulates. This material
modulates or brings balance to the immune system. Beta-1, 3-D-glucan
merely readies the macrophage. Immune response does not occur
until a macrophage captures a foreign invader (ie. bacteria,
virus, fungus, and parasite). Once captured, the macrophage
displays the invader's "antigen" for recognition by
a thymus immune cell, resulting in full immune response. Beta
1,3-D glucan can never "over-stimulate" your immune
system. |

|
| Q |
Are
there any drug interactions that occur with Beta-1, 3-D-glucan? |
| A |
Beta-1,
3-D-glucan has no negitive effect on drugs you may be taking
and infact it enhances the effect of many antibiotic and cholesterol
lowering drugs.
There are no known adverse effects with pharmacological drugs.
However, if you are taking any medication you should always
consult your physician before taking beta 1,3-D glucan. |

|
|
| Q |
Are
the effects of Beta-1, 3-D-glucan backed by scientific research? |
| A |
Numerous
scientific studies originating from such prestigious institutions
as Harvard Medical School, Baylor University and Tulane University
exist to attest to the immune-activating and protective effects
of Beta-1, 3-D-glucan. |
|
|
|
| Q |
Are
beta glucans from barley, oats, or other grains as affective
as the ones derived from bakers yeast? |
| A |
They
have been shown to be ineffective with regard to macrophage
activation. Only Beta-1, 3-D-glucan from the cell wall of baker's
yeast has been shown to have a potent effect on the immune system.

| Q |
How
do I know that your Beta-1, 3-D-glucan contains the superior
potency you
claim on the bottle? |
| A |
The
primary component in BetaGold is Beta-1,3-D-glucan at 94.3%.
Analysis was done at The University of Georgia, CCRC, located
in Athens, Georgia. This study was supported in part by the
Department of Energy-funded (DE-FG09-93ER-20097). |

|
| Q |
Why
haven't we heard about this before? |
| A |
For
over ten years Beta 1,3-D Glucan has been available, however
to purchase one 100 mg capsule of Beta 1,3-D glucan would cost
close to $200.00! I This made it cost prohibitive to all but
the extremely wealthy. |

|
| Q |
Will
Beta Gold cure THIS, THAT or the OTHER thing? |
| A |
Beta
Gold does not cure anything. It simply makes your
immune system be the best it can possibly be.It's your immune
system which then fights the battle and returns your body to
it's healthy state. |

|
| Q |
Why
are antibiotics becoming less effective? |
| A |
Overuse
of these products have reduced their effectiveness in two
ways. First, since bacteria are life forms, they mutate to
survive antibiotic dosing. Over time, the cunning mutation
of bacteria render previously useful antibiotics ineffective.
Secondly,
the over-use of antibiotics renders our our immune system
less effective in recovering from disease.
